HS Vault Pro ("the App") is developed by HS Software Solutions (Harbansh Singh), India. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used and your choices. By using the App you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
| Data | Why | Where it is stored |
|---|---|---|
| Google account name, email address, profile photo URL and Google account ID | Sign-in, identifying your account, trial and subscription management, support | Developer's private Google Sheet |
| Device model, Android version, app version, a one-way hashed device identifier; first/last sign-in time and sign-in count | Licence management, fraud/abuse prevention, support | Developer's private Google Sheet |
| Your vault: client names, contact details (mobile, email, address, GSTIN, PAN), website URLs, usernames, passwords and notes | Providing the password manager | On your device and in your own Google Drive (folder "HSPassVault"). Passwords and notes are AES-256 encrypted. The developer has no access. |
We do not collect location, contacts, SMS, call logs, photos, advertising IDs or browsing history. The App contains no advertising and no third-party analytics.
2. Google user data and permissions
- Google Sign-In (openid, email, profile) – to know who you are.
- Google Drive – drive.file – lets the App create and access only the files it creates: the "HSPassVault" folder, the "HSPassVault" spreadsheet and encrypted backups. The App cannot see any other file in your Drive.
HS Vault Pro's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the App's features, is never sold, never used for advertising and never transferred to third parties except as required by law.
3. Security
- Your master password is never stored or transmitted. It is stretched with PBKDF2-SHA256 into an AES-256-GCM key on your device.
- Optional biometric unlock uses the Android Keystore; biometric data never leaves your phone.
- All network traffic uses HTTPS/TLS. Screenshots of the vault are blocked by default and copied passwords are cleared from the clipboard automatically.
Because we never have your master password, a forgotten master password cannot be recovered.
4. Sharing
We do not sell or share your data. When you choose to share a login (WhatsApp, QR code, copy, or another app), it is sent by you to the recipient you pick; please share only with people you trust.
5. Retention and deletion
- Vault data stays in your Google Drive until you delete it. Signing out erases the copy on your phone.
- Delete your account in the App: Settings → Delete Account. This erases the vault from your phone, optionally deletes the HSPassVault folder from your Drive, removes your name, photo, Google ID and device details from our records and revokes the App's Google access.
- After deletion we keep only your email address and trial dates, to prevent repeated free-trial abuse, for up to 3 years.
- You can also request deletion without the App: Delete account request.
- You can revoke access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
6. Children
The App is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
